Welcome to our general People Finder and Genealogy section. 

We have several tools to help you in your search for British people - be they club members, old school friends, one time neighbours, army buddies or ancestors. People Finding of course is an entirely different process to Genealogy and if you're trying to complete your family tree back to 1066, you might well have to pay someone to do the basic research.

Any county, city, town, even village, in Britain, you can find links leading to people who still live there.  Many have Guestbooks which enables you to contact them in your search.
If you know where the person you are trying to find once lived, or is living, got to the local newspaper - they can often help. 
This is primarily links to the UK Gen Web system still under development. It enables you to find birth certificates, death certificates, marriage licences and so forth.
Hundreds of links helping you to narrow in on an ancestor or old friend - note the Alumni Net link - a terrific site which helps you quickly locate old UK school buddies.
