Church life

OUR LIFE TOGETHER IS FOCUSED AROUND TWO THINGS:

FIRSTLY...

Our Sunday meetings: We meet Sunday's at 10.30am where we worship together, hear stories of what God is doing and look at what the Bible has to say about living life in the 21st century. There is also a fun packed Sunday School for those in primary school that happens during our Sunday meeting.

SECONDLY...

Our group life: It's hard to get to know people in a crowd, so each week smaller groups of people meet in homes around the town, forming close friendships and enjoying hanging out together. Our groups include:

Connect Groups - midweek homegroups, daytime and evening.
BEA Club - after school club
BYG - Beacon Youth Group
Alpha - for those looking to learn more about the Christian faith

We also have a regular women's group and a men's group (which usually includes food!)

Because we believe the church should impact the wider community, we also are part of the Whitchurch Foodbank which aims to supply emergency food for those hit by redundancy, illness, benefit delay, domestic violence, debt, family breakdown.

We also have a number of our own community support projects:
• English as a second Language - meets Wednesdays 9.30 - 11.00am. Helping those for who English isn’t their first language.
• CAP Money Course - a 3-week short course to learn how to handle your money better by knowing how to budget, spend and save.
• Connect For You - meets Fridays 10.00 - 11.30am. This is a group for those who have additional needs; giving support and a place where ‘You can feel Connected’.

Beacon is a family and a place to call home. It's a place to get help, healing, and hope: a place to find friendship and find your calling. Whether you're in Whitchurch or one of the outlying villages or towns, an atheist or lifetime follower of Christ, you are welcome here.

Whoever you are, we'd love to meet you and you are welcome at any of our events.
